As a Media Relations Executive for one of the City’s most prestigious brands you will help to promote their expertise around the world through the international, national and trade media. Working as a Media Relations Executive in a fast-moving press office you will regularly need to demonstrate sound news judgement under pressure, paired with the ability to write faultless, compelling copy.
As a Media Relations Executive you will proactively generate media coverage including: researching and writing press releases and op-eds; selling-in stories to the media; acting as and briefing other spokespeople; organising press events; and monitoring and evaluating media coverage. The role is an even mix of pro and re-active media relations, including identifying and managing potential threats to the organisation’s reputation.
Experience of working in a busy, high profile press office is essential, financial services or central government media relations experience preferred. The ability to assimilate complex information, numeracy and attention to detail are all important. Working as a Media Relations Executive for a world-class brand with regular exposure to the Board, the role offers excellent career development, a salary between £30,000 and £35,000 plus bonus and benefits.
