Halloween Open Wrestling Tournament
Saturday, October 8 at Rio Rancho High School. It will be a sanctioned event. All participants will need a card USA Wrestling to take part. Cards will not be sold to the weight-ins. Any male can weigh two to register time on Friday, October 7th 6-8 pm and Saturday, October 7th 7-8 pm in the gymnasium of Rio Rancho HS. The application must be complete with a $ 20 cash, money order or cashier's check made out to Rio Rancho struggle.Pre-recorded applications cost only $ 10. All wrestlers must weigh in. 4th Annual Get Fit Health Course
Will be held at 9 am on Saturday, October 8 on the Ocotillo Trail. Pre-registration at 8 am on race day. The events are: 2-mile walk, 5 km walk and run 5K. Registration is $ 15 per person. You can register at the foot of the athlete in the mall in Carlsbad or call 575-302-8627 Alvin.

Elkettes Make History, Sweep Cleveland High in Rio Rancho ...
Saturday, September 24, 2011, marks the date in your memory because it is historic. This is the day of the Pojoaque Valley High volleyball team defeated Cleveland High 29-19, 27-25, 27-25 to win the tournament championship Rio Rancho and in doing so, claiming to be the best of the high school volleyball team in the state of New Mexico.
Cleveland is a team of state number 5A and Artesia High, who beat the Elkettes twice in the tournament, is the number of New Mexico team 4A.In addition, on their historic journey to the championship, defeated Pojoaque Gadsen-number state of the two 5A schools and St. Pius X, the number of the state of both teams 4A.
Brian Ainsworth, Pojoaque Valley head volleyball coach, said the victory was an incredible team effort. Pojoaque Valley, above which the player is 5'10 "Cash Lynne, facing a front of Cleveland with a 6'5" middle hitter, a 6'2 "outside hitter and six footers in the middle.
