But the Winners and Losers cast member knows only too well everyone has their bad days.
That's why she is supporting R U OK? Day -- a national day of action, on September 15, which aims to prevent suicide by encouraging Aussies to connect with someone in distress.
Tuckwell-Smith realised the importance of reaching out after talking to an acquaintance who seemed down.
"I had no idea what was going on for him. As his story unfolded, I realised that probably very few people had any idea," she said.
The actor has kept in touch with the man and believes her intervention has helped him deal with problems.
"Being a friend in that situation you do sometimes have a responsibility to push through the facade that people put up to protect themselves and to allow someone to not be feeling 100 per cent or OK," she said.
