British gentlemen do not prefer blondes

A survey conducted by Badoo, the largest social network in the world to meet new people, found that men prefer brunettes to blondes UK. 2000 British guys Badoo asked to state the physical characteristics they find most attractive of the opposite sex.

Contradicting the old adage that Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, almost one third of men surveyed (33.1%) said they find women with dark hair the most attractive. Blondes (29.5%) beat the women with black hair (28.6%) for second place while the red-heads have been preferred by a meager 8.8% of men.

For men in the UK, women with blue eyes still down the law with a huge 40.2% of boys preferring blue eyes over brown (29.2%), hazelnut (13.1%) and green ( 17.5%).

The survey also revealed another somewhat surprising result: 38.8% of respondents said their perfect woman would have a dress size 12-14. Only 10% of respondents cited the boys as their preferred sizes 6-8 which suggests that, while the skinny models make up the majority of pages in magazines, the man in the street is actually more attracted to women construction average.

After compiling the results, Badoo applied their findings to the world of celebrity and, by combining the physical characteristics that have the highest marks, suggests that Lauren Goodger, star of reality TV is the only way to Essex, has all the attributes that men in the UK have said they find most attractive.

Her brown hair, blue eyes and medium build give him the perfect combination to be the prototypical girl next door.

Badoo also conducted the study in France, Spain, Italy, USA and Brazil with surprising results.

French men said they preferred their female lean with all other nationalities, saying they prefer average to curvy women. In all countries (except UK), black hair color was the most popular. The UK was also the only country that has opted for blue eyes, brown and green with the top spot in the world.

Lloyd Price, Badoo, said: "I was surprised that the blond hair and size 8 is not high on the list. Magazines are full of skinny blonde models, so it's nice to see that in the real guys prefer to watch the girl next door. Mark Wright is clearly a lucky man in the eyes of the nation.

Brazil Retirement: Physical Geography and Environment : Retire Abroad

Brazil is a large country with a diverse physical geography. While some parts of the country are less than ideal as a retirement destination, other parts of the country have ideal physical features for international living. Brazil’s physical landscape provides environments that range from dense and inhospitable tropical rainforests to pleasant and retiree friendly beach locations that makes it one of the best places to retire in South America.

Brazil’s Physical Landscape: Size and Location

Brazil is the largest country in South America and the fifth largest nation on the planet. Lying in the northeastern half of South America, Brazil is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east and most of the other countries in South America to the south and west.

The country’s physical location is a product of early South American history when both Spain and Portugal divided the continent in half for purposes of colonization. Spain took ownership over the western half and the eastern half of South America became Brazil – under Portugese control. Brazil’s Physical Landscape: Geology and Physical Features

Unlike the western half of South America, the physical features of Brazil are very old and much more geologically stable than those countries located in the younger Andes Mountain chain. As a result, the country is not prone to major earthquakes or volcanic activity. Geologically speaking, Brazil’s geologic stability is more like America’s Appalachian region than the geologically active Rocky Mountain region. From a geologic perspective, Brazil’s physical environment is a pleasant one for international living.

Most of Brazil’s northern physical landscape is lowland which begins to rise up into hills and plateaus towards the southern part of the country.

Brazil’s Physical Landscape – Climates and Regions

To the north, Brazil’s physical landscape is dominated by the Amazon Basin. This is a huge lowland region where various tributary rivers empty into the Amazon River which ultimately flows into the Atlantic Ocean. The Amazon Basin is covered by the largest tropical rainforest in the world which makes up about 40% of Brazil’s physical landscape.
