What I hate about these juvenile coffee comparisons, which are the favorite of any group that wishes to raise your taxes, is that (1) they never take into account what you are already paying; (2) especially in the case of school boards and property taxes, your taxes will already increase even without their referendum or increase (mine just went up by several hundred cups of Dunkin); and (3) many of us have had to stop buying those luxury cups of coffee already, because we are going broke and because things like the state income tax increase have already consumed them. I make my own coffee before I go to work! Rahm should note that many of us are taking a minus in the number of cups of takeout coffee we can buy because of increasing expenses that don't meet income.
