Demand remains high for FEMA storm shelters
Drawn from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, the funding can be used to reimburse local governments for community shelters and to reimburse 100 Calhoun County residents up to $4,000 each to install private shelters at their homes.
