Measures of water proofness and lightning protection have to be taken if installing the Cell Phone Jammer outdoor. It is suggested that the cell phone jammer equips with the specific installation box whose body is metal with shutter-type ventilation positions at two sides (improving radiation), the antenna of the cell phone jammer coming out of the opening on the top of the box body (sealing the hole clearance with hot collosol) and the power input hole as well as diversion hole (preventing from water accumulation) at the bottom of the box body.

The main body of the cell phone jammer should be installed on the top inside the box with the antenna coming out of the box body (if it is not coming out of the box body, the shielding effect will largely decrease), the power supply adapter should be placed at the middle and lower parts of the box body:

If the mobile phone jammer (together with the installation box) adopts outdoor installation, such as installing on the outer wall of the building, measures of lightning protection have to be taken, especially the area where the thunderstorm is frequent.

The lightning protection measure is actually adding the lightning rod to the jammer. If there is no existing rod to buy, the lightning rod can be self-made as follows:

Select 3 or 4 reinforced bars with 5-10mm diameter and 50cm length. Sharpen one end to the needle shape with the other end welded together in “Y” shape. Connect the welded end to the earth with the iron wire of 2-3mm diameter (protecting the iron wire with PVC duct). One end of the iron wire pointing to the ground connects with an iron strap with the length of 50-100cm and width of 2-5cm, which digs underground deeply. If is not easy to find an iron strap, a 10-mm reinforced bar can be used instead.

The lightning rod should be installed 30-50cm above the Cellular Phone Jammer antenna. The lightning rod (including the earthing steel wire) can not contact the jammer or installation box and keeps a proper distance with them.
