Printers – Part 1
Buying a new printer can be a daunting task. There are plenty to choose from and many options to consider: inkjet, laser, LED ..... a stand-alone, or an all-in-one that integrates scanning and copying in one device? And there are other, more hidden from view, such as operating costs. As with any purchase, get your requirements clear at the outset is essential. Inkjet PrintersPrinting technology the most common (and usually cheaper to buy) is inkjet. These printers use tiny nozzles to spray small amounts of liquid ink on paper to create your image or text.
Inkjet is ideal for creating high-quality photographic prints, but they can be expensive to run and the ink is water-sensitive - which makes them a bad investment for the office. For best results when printing images, so you'll need to use special inkjet paper, which will also push costs up.
Laser printers
Laser printers write an invisible latent image on a drum electrostatically charged, which takes an image composed of fine particles of toner, which are then rolled onto the paper and fused by the heat - creating an impression that is Waterproof strong and clear. Laser printers are usually fast and cheap to run - especially since they do not require special paper, but to produce good results on standard copier paper.
The disadvantage is that the purchase price of a laser is generally higher than that of a jet - so in time, if you're a heavy user, this can be more than offset by lower costs operation. Color laser printers are not particularly suitable for photographic prints.
LED Printers
LED printers work in a manner similar to laser printers, but replace the LSU expensive with cheaper light emitting diodes (LED).
