MY VIEW: Anti-Bush groups antagonized former president

In explaining her support for keeping any commentary about President Obama pure and pristine, Judy Payne opines that mean and repugnant behavior was never displayed  by citizens toward any other president with whom they did not agree.

How short her memory is. The anti-Bush groups expressed overreaching antagonistic attitudes and extreme hostility during his two terms as president.

Michelle Malkin called the Bush hatred the “Bush derangement syndrome.”

Hatred was the emotive feeling  expressed  by the opposition throughout president Bush’s presidency.

If one were to hit Bush + Hitler in a Google search there are more than a million answers.

The site zombietime.com many photographs of rallies and demonstrations that show people with issues such hatred and Nazi themes. The signs and banners posted threats to the life of Bush.

Common T-shirts showed the "s" of Bush as a swastika. Examples of signs were:

"I'm here to kill Bush, shoot me"

"Hang Bush for war crimes"

"We do not need to attack Bush, we need to execute"

There is a Youtube video with Bush's face turn into that of Hitler.

Betty Williams, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate in a keynote speech to the International Peace  Conference said, “I mean right now, I could kill George Bush, no problem.”

In discussing President Bush’s policies, Sen. Robert Byrd said a policy  on judges was reminiscent of Nazi Germany.

When the president said, “You’re with us or against us,” it reminded George Soros of Nazi Germany.

Cindy Sheehan the mother of  a soldier killed in the Iraqi War  led  protests in front  of Bushs Texas home.

Code Pink, an anti-war group, protested at Bushs  second inaugural address. They unfurled banners and heckled the  president during  his speech.

Hate books were  published. One was “I Hate George W. Bush Reader:  Why Dubya Is Wrong About Absolutely Everything.

Aussie Man Wearing Anti-Bush T-Shirt Not Allowed To Board Flight

An Australian man was denied permission to board a connecting flight within Australia unless he removed the T-shirt titled "World's #1 Terrorist" with a picture of U.S. President George W. Bush.

The incident occurred on December 2 when Allen Jasson, who lives in London, was stopped by security personals at an airport while he was en route to meet his family. He was at the terminal hoping to catch a connecting flight from Adelaide to Melbourne when his ordeal began.

According to ANI, Jasson was first stopped at London's Heathrow Airport and forced to remove the T-shirt because it caused "security problem in light of the present situation."

He faced a similar situation at the Adelaide Airport and felt that both incidents were attempts to prevent him from exercising his freedom of expression of his feelings.

"I told her I had the right to express my opinion. I felt I had made my point and caved in," Jasson said.

However, the Aussie passenger wore his Bush T-Shirt again but was yet again banned from boarding a subsequent connecting flight.

"It was argued other passengers could be offended. I said it was most offensive that I would be prevented from expressing my political views," said the Aussie traveler.

However, a Virgin Blue spokeswoman said "Most people use common sense and don't go out of their way to offend people.
