Boyfriend Of Mother Who Drove Kids Into River Sues NYC For $40 Million
Pierre, Armstrong’s 26-year-old estranged boyfriend, says there should have been proper barriers erected to keep vehicles from going into the river. He also claims Orange County’s Department of Child Protective Services had the responsibility to monitor the 25-year-old woman.
Pierre and Armstrong had gotten into a screaming fight earlier on the night she drove into the river. Her relatives said she had been driven to the edge by her rocky relationship with Pierre, but his lawyer insisted that was not the case.
This is a hard one to comment on. But, I will say this; I don’t THINK she wanted the children. Now, if they had a fight, and she took the children with her and DROWNED them…then, she is responsible for the murder of her/his children.
Now, does he have a right to sue? Yes, but it doesn’t mean he will win. New York is already in a monetary shamble-like condition, and giving $40 million dollars away, ain’t gonna happen, AT LEAST NOT IN NEW YORK! I feel, he should have taken the children from her, especially if he knew she had mental problems! After an argument, you never leave the children, in the middle because they will become part of the problem…such as this case. HE SHOULD HAVE TOLD HER, TO LEAVE THE CHILDREN WITH HIM!!!
If he had insurance on his former girlfriend and their children, then he should be compensated in some shape, fashion or form!
Wait. You have the gall to sue for the death of your kids when you were doing nothing to support them while they were here? Just when I thought trifling men had hit the bottom, they find a new low. If he really felt she was unstable, he should have manned up and went to court to get his kids. Instead he did what seems to come so natural to so many and stood by and watched her struggle with work, school and kids. Her family should sue him for being a deadbeat.
